Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting children across all areas of development.
  • Plan and deliver creative, practical and play-based activities that encourage curiosity, exploration and learning.
  • Provide a nurturing classroom environment where children feel safe, confident and ready to learn.
  • Support pupils with their personal, social, emotional and communication development.
  • Observe, assess and track children's progress, using assessment information to adapt planning and meet individual needs.
  • Establish clear routines and promote positive behaviour to support a calm and purposeful learning environment.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and families to support children's learning and well-being.
  • Encourage independence, resilience and positive relationships throughout the school day.
