Here at Academics, we are proud to be working with this fantastic two-form entry primary school in Hammersmith, which is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Year 1 Class Teacher from October 2026. This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity for a teacher looking to join a welcoming school and establish themselves within a supportive and collaborative team.

The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning while helping pupils develop the confidence, independence and core skills they need as they progress through Key Stage 1.

As a two-form entry school, teachers benefit from working closely with their parallel class teacher, allowing for shared planning, collaboration and the development of consistent approaches to teaching and learning. The successful Reception Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver engaging, creative and well-structured lessons across the Reception curriculum, adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners. You will play an important role in supporting pupils' transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage, while developing their early reading, phonics, writing and mathematics skills.

Experience teaching in KS1 or EYFS would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from teachers with broader primary experience who are confident in adapting their practice to meet the needs of Year 1 pupils.

This role would suit a teacher who is enthusiastic, reflective and committed to creating a positive classroom environment, with high expectations for behaviour, learning and pupil progress.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
