Job summary

Desian Education is helping a welcoming primary school in Bootle recruit a dedicated Reception Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting January 2027. The role centers on supporting children at the start of their educational journey, delivering play-based learning and a nurturing EYFS environment.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS with an enhanced DBS, have EYFS/Reception experience, and demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.

• Experience in EYFS environments, preferably Reception.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess learning in line with the EYFS Framework.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children at the beginning of their educational journey, creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive., Full responsibility for a Reception class

• Planning, delivering and assessing learning in line with the EYFS Framework
• Creating a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
• Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development
• Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate observations and assessments
• Working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Full Enhanced DBS
• Has experience teaching within Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ideally Reception
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS Framework
• Confident in planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning opportunities
• Has excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Demonstrates a positive, nurturing and professional approach
• Is reliable, committed and passionate about early years education

£120 - £232 per day (M1-M6), dependent on experience.
