Langdale Chase Hotel on Lake Windermere seeks an experienced Reception Supervisor to lead the reception team and deliver a five-star guest experience. You will oversee guest welcome, knowledge of rooms and facilities, and maintain brand standards in a busy luxury environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hospitality experience in a Four- or Five-Star hotel.
• Strong work ethic with ability to motivate a front desk team.

Responsibilities

• Provide highest standards of customer service and a warm welcome to guests.
• Maintain knowledge of bedrooms and facilities to assist guests.

• Contribute to bedroom sales and revenue control.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Reception Supervisor to report to the Guest Service Manager and deliver a five-star guest experience. You will be responsible for ensuring that the reception team offers a warm welcome and a personal and professional service to the guests that visit our beautiful property located on stunning Lake Windermere.

Langdale Chase Hotel, which sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Windermere, has recently undergone a full and significant refurbishment and reopened its doors in November 2023. In that time the hotel has achieved 5 Star Status from the AA and been recognised in the prestigious Times Top 100 Places to Stay, ranked No.3 and North of England Hotel of the Year.

Your day to day;

• To provide the highest standards of customer service and welcome to ensure an exceptional guest experience to all, at all times.
• Have impeccable knowledge of hotel bedrooms and facilities to offer the best service to guests.
• To create a strong culture of customer service and warm hospitality within the department, including recognising and acknowledging regular guests and their requirements.
• Ensuring the department offers a prompt, courteous, knowledgeable response to telephone calls.
• To contribute towards the maximisation of bedroom sales and deliver high levels of revenue control.
• To supervise and support with the development of the reception team through training to deliver the hotels product plan and brand standards.
• To ensure all security procedures with regards to guest’s belongings such as luggage, storage or deliveries are carried out with the upmost care and attention from all team members.
• Provide efficient delivery of guest messages.
• Support the Guest Service Manager with ensuring all brand standards are delivered by the team.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who will take pride in the delivery of exceptional hospitality and customer service, either face-to-face at the hotel or by telephone and demonstrate the ability to meet guest requirements and go that extra mile.

You will have previous hands-on experience working in a high quality Four-Star or Five-Star hotel and you must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate the ability to motivate a team. You will be able to work in line with the company’s brand standards.

You will have strong communication skills with the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner.

You will have confident computer skills and previous experience working with RezLynx would be advantageous. You will have the flexibility to work hours dependent on workload and seasonal requirements.
