Long Term Futures Ltd in Rugby (CV22) is seeking a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant to support early years pupils with additional needs and to help them access learning, build confidence and independence.

You will collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO, contributing to targeted SEN support. Experience with ASD, Makaton and PECS will be beneficial, with phonics and EYFS knowledge valued.

Qualifications

• SEN experience in early years or primary settings.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.

Reception SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Rugby, CV22

Weekly Pay: £500 - £525

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (term time only)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Long-term, Temp-to-Perm

The role will focus on supporting children within Reception with additional needs, helping them access learning, develop their communication and build confidence and independence within the classroom.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO, providing targeted SEN support alongside wider classroom assistance. Experience supporting children with ASD, communication needs, Makaton and PECS would be particularly beneficial.

What the school is looking for:

• Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year working within a Primary School, Preschool or EYFS setting
• Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD and communication needs
• Knowledge or experience of Makaton, PECS and visual communication strategies
• Experience supporting phonics and early learning
• A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• A patient, nurturing and consistent approach
