Could you help children make a confident start to school life in a high-performing Reception class? Are you looking for early years classroom experience that gives you a strong foundation before teacher training?
Support children across the EYFS curriculum within a Reception class, helping them settle into routines, engage in learning, and develop confidence across the school day. You will provide classroom support, work with children in small groups and on a 1:1 basis where needed, reinforce early communication, literacy, and number skills, and work closely with the class teacher to help pupils make a positive start to school.
You are patient, encouraging, and able to communicate clearly with young children. You want meaningful classroom experience, enjoy helping children develop confidence from the earliest stage, and are keen to build the practical skills needed for a future in teaching.
This ‘Outstanding’ primary school in Yardley offers the chance to build excellent early years experience in a setting where strong routines, purposeful support, and child development are clearly valued. You will work as part of a Reception team that understands how important the early years are to future progress, giving you exposure to the practical classroom strategies that help children settle, engage, and thrive from the very start.
