Job summary

The Orders of St John Care Trust in Burnham is seeking an Administration Assistant to provide reception, administrative and basic finance support. You’ll be the first contact for visitors and help ensure infection control and testing protocols are followed.

You’ll also assist with events in the home and work with a caring team dedicated to delivering warm, person-centred care to residents living in our nursing home setting.

Qualifications

• Previous administrative or reception experience and confident with Microsoft Office.
• Experience handling cash and keeping reports up to date.
• Maths and English to GCSE level.
• Comfortable in an elderly care setting with caring, sensitive communication.

Responsibilities

• Support the Home Manager with reception, admin and basic finance tasks.
• Coordinate infection control and testing requirements.
• Organise couriers and related administrative duties.
• Plan and manage events in the home with the Activities Coordinator.
• Provide a professional, welcoming first point of contact.
