Job summary

J.P. Morgan in Bournemouth is seeking a Software Engineer III to help build and evolve real-time liquidity management platforms.

You will work on dashboards, cash forecasting, and funding functions with a global Agile team; contributing to cloud-native architectures and modern engineering practices. You will code across the SDLC, focusing on secure, scalable production systems, data-driven insights, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in Java 8 and above, including strong working knowledge of the Java ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of the Spring framework and its ecosystem.
• Hands-on practical experience with relational database management systems.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large-scale environment.
• Knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies including CI/CD, resiliency, and security practices.
• Experience with cloud, AI, ML, or mobile tech.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions across design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain critical algorithms.
• Develop visualizations and reporting from large data sets to improve software.
• Identify data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to engineering communities and adopt new technologies.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and speed with peer reviews.
