Job summary

J.P. Morgan in the Global Liquidity and Cash Management Technology team seeks a Software Engineer II to design and develop high-performance, latency-sensitive Java services for real-time liquidity management.

You will collaborate with globally distributed engineers, perform estimation, planning, code reviews and apply modern tools to deliver scalable payment platforms that respond rapidly to client needs.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on Java concepts and proficient applied experience.
• Understanding of Java 17+ fundamentals and Spring Boot.
• Experience with JUnit and Mockito for testing.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., CockroachDB).
• Familiarity with Linux, containers, and cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance, latency-sensitive code with security considerations.
• Write secure, high-quality code and automated tests.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational stability and reliability.
• Collaborate with a global team and participate in code reviews.
