Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Global Liquidity and Cash Management Technology team.

You will design and enhance high-performance Java services supporting real-time liquidity operations on a next-generation wholesale banking platform. You’ll contribute to features, tests and architecture, collaborate with globally distributed engineers and stakeholders, and participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews and training initiatives to continuously improve the

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on Java concepts and proficient applied experience.
• Understanding of Java 17+ fundamentals and Spring Boot; OO programming.
• Experience with modern testing tools (JUnit, Mockito, Spring Test Framework).
• Experience using and designing schemas/data structures in resilient SQL and NoSQL databases (CockroachDB).
• Familiarity with Linux, containers and cloud architectures and services.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; globally distributed engineers.
• Understanding of the full SDLC and agile approach.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development tools with validation skills.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance, latency-sensitive code with security considerations.
• Write secure, high-quality code and automated tests.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate recurring issues and improve stability.
• Contribute to communities of practice to promote modern technologies.
• Collaborate as part of a global team.
• Provide out-of-hours application support and coordinate production releases.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and speed, with peer review.
