Job summary

Camlin seeks a Mid-Level Firmware Engineer to design, implement, and optimize real-time firmware using DSP and microcontroller technologies. You will work on latency-critical systems, lead hardware/software integration, and contribute to robust, well-documented embedded solutions.

The role emphasizes DSP algorithms, RTOS knowledge, and modern development workflows in a hybrid environment, with ongoing opportunities to advance embedded systems expertise.

Qualifications

• Proven design, simulation, implementation, verification and validation of digital circuits on DSP devices and Microcontrollers.
• Proven experience in C/C++ programming.
• Knowledge of RTOS theory (FreeRTOS/Zephyr).
• Familiarity with DSP algorithms (FFT, digital filters, re-sampling).
• Experience with peripheral standards and protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, RS232, RGMII).
• Scripting knowledge (Bash, Python).
• Version control with GIT and agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time systems with DSP algorithms and Microcontroller firmware.
• Ensure firmware meets strict real-time constraints (latency, throughput, resources).
• Lead hardware/software integration for seamless operation.
• Optimize signal processing and embedded system performance.
• Conduct code reviews, design evaluations, and testing for quality.
• Investigate and resolve complex real-time issues.
• Debug hardware and software issues to root cause.
• Propose innovative solutions and regulatory-compliant designs.
• Stay updated on DSP/microcontroller advancements and architectures.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to workflows and docs.
