Job summary

Anakin Seal Legal in Birmingham is looking for a junior Real Estate solicitor to join a growing national practice. You will handle commercial property matters, under supervision, while building client relationships and developing your expertise within a supportive team.

The role offers exposure to acquisitions, disposals, leases, development work, and real estate finance, with a focus on professional development and flexible working arrangements across a national network.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 1–3 years’ PQE in commercial property.
• Strong commercial property experience in private practice.
• Experience advising on acquisitions, disposals, and landlord and tenant matters.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Commercial and proactive approach with ability to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on acquisitions and disposals of commercial property and development land.
• Negotiating leases and associated landlord and tenant documentation.
• Supporting developers and investors on development projects.
• Drafting and advising on development agreements, conditional contracts and infrastructure documentation.
• Conducting due diligence exercises and title investigations.
• Managing property transactions from instruction through to completion.
• Supervising junior colleagues on property management matters, including licences, assignments and leases.
• Assisting with real estate finance transactions.
• Supporting the real estate aspects of corporate transactions.
• Advising on investment property acquisitions and disposals, including sale and leaseback arrangements.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a junior Real Estate solicitor to join the growing Birmingham office of a leading national law firm. This role offers high-quality commercial property work, strong supervision from experienced real estate specialists, and the chance to develop a long-term career within a well-established national practice. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and expanding team, working alongside recognised real estate lawyers while developing their own client relationships, profile and technical expertise.

The Birmingham team forms part of a wider national property group with specialist expertise spanning commercial real estate, real estate finance, planning, construction, property litigation and residential property. This provides excellent opportunities for cross-disciplinary work and ongoing professional development.

Role Overview

Working as part of a national Real Estate practice, you will advise a broad range of clients including developers, investors, occupiers and lenders on a variety of commercial property matters.

Candidate Profile / Experience Needed

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Qualified Solicitor with 1-3 years’ PQE
• Strong commercial property experience gained in private practice
• Experience advising on acquisitions, disposals and landlord and tenant matters
