William James Recruitment is seeking an Associate Real Estate Solicitor to join a leading national law firm in Birmingham. The role covers occupier, development, investor and lender work on complex commercial property matters, with hybrid working and a strong platform for career development.

The successful candidate will have 1-5 years' PQE in Commercial Property, with excellent drafting and advisory skills, and a proactive, client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• A qualified Solicitor with 1-5 years' PQE.
• Significant experience in Commercial Property.
• Demonstrable experience across a broad range of Real Estate matters.
• Strong technical drafting, negotiation and advisory skills.
• Commercially minded with the ability to deliver practical and solution-focused advice.

Responsibilities

• Advise occupiers, property developers, investors and lenders on a broad range of commercial property matters.
• Handle acquisitions and disposals of commercial property and development land.
• Advise on landlord and tenant matters, including the negotiation of leases and associated documentation.
• Support clients on development projects, including development agreements, conditional contracts and infrastructure documents.
• Undertake property due diligence and title investigations.
• Assist with property portfolio management matters, including licences, assignments and leases.
• Support senior colleagues on property finance transactions.
• Advise on the real estate aspects of corporate acquisitions and disposals.
• Handle acquisitions and disposals of investment property, including sale and leaseback transactions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships across a varied client base.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the team.
