Job summary

CCP is seeking a part-time Support Worker to assist young people aged 16+ in our Yate accommodation. You will provide practical and emotional support on a rota basis, including weekends, with shifts 8am–8:15pm and a one-hour unpaid break.

The role emphasises trauma-informed care, safeguarding, and building trusted relationships. CCP offers induction, training, and a values-driven environment focused on homeless and social support.

The Role

As a Support Worker at CCP, you will provide vital support to young people living in our supported accommodation home in Yate.

This is a part-time position working 12.25 hour shifts 8am-8.15pm - 1 hour unpaid breakin our Accommodation Based Services team.

These shifts will be arranged on a rota basis, and will include weekend shifts.

What You’ll Do
  • You'll provide practical and emotional support to individuals living in Yate, helping to promote a greater level of
  • You’ll do this in a trauma-informed way (you will be thoroughly trained) and by building strong relationships with the individuals you support.
  • You'll need to promote the rights and interests of the young people.
  • You'll need to protect them from danger, harm, or abuse.
  • It can be challenging, however the rewards are amazing to see how your, advice, knowledge and guidance has such a positive impact on these young peoples lives.
  • To be successful in this role, you'll need to be patient, kind, resilient, and professional, with a calm and caring approach.

Hours:Part-time 33.75 hours per week. On a rota basis (will include weekend shifts).

Pay:£23,607.43 per year (£27,542 FTE)

^Annual Leave entitlement will be pro-rata for Part-time staff. Working on public holidays due to a rota pattern will be

compensated with time off in lieu. An extra day of leave accrues for each completed financial year (capped at 5). Purchasing

additional holidays is capped at 5 per year.

^^Contracted staff only. Business mileage (55p a mile) is paid for any daily miles over and above the distance from your home to

the allocated workplace location and back. You'll need awell-maintained vehicle with valid tax, MOT andInsurance covering
