Job summary

Caring for Communities and People (CCP) is seeking a Night Support Worker in Trowbridge to join our Accommodation Based Services. You will help run housing and support for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children and care-experienced youth, with full-time, part-time and bank positions available, and a focus on safeguarding and recovery.

Role includes supporting residents with independent living, safety planning, job training and refugee status pathways.

Qualifications

  • Must be patient, kind, resilient, professional with a calm and caring approach.
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required due to location.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Management Team with oversight of homes and lead on support and safety.
  • Be a role model to the young people and strive for high standards.
  • Deliver trauma-informed support and champion diversity and inclusion.
  • Contribute to a variety of duties including housing, safety planning, and supporting independence.

We have an exciting opportunity for aNightSupport Workerto join ourAccommodation Based Servicesteam providing housing and support to Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children, and Care Experienced young people inWiltshire.

We are looking for Night Support Workersto join a new service in full-time, part-time and bank positions. Applications from everyone are welcome, including those with lived experience, care experience or refugees with Leave to Remain.

  • You will assist the Management Team with the oversight of homes, leading on support and safety.
  • You will be a role model to the young people, continually pushing for the highest standards.
  • Your support will be trauma-informed. You will understand people’s backgrounds and championdiversity and inclusion.
  • There is so much variety. You could be helping someone move and settle into their new home, safety planning to reduce harm, helping someone secure their desired job or secure the place on the training course they have aspired to, support with independent living skills, and obtain refugee status.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be patient, kind, resilient, professional, with a calm and caring approach. Due to the location of the properties, you will need afull UK driving licence and your own vehicle.

Position: Night Support Worker (Job ID 1128)

Hours:Full-time is 39.375 hours per week

Location:Trowbridge, with some homes in Chippenham and Salisbury.

Pay:£27,542 FTE

^Annual Leave entitlement will be pro-rata for Part-time staff. Working on public holidays due to a rota pattern will be compensated with time off in lieu. An extra day of leave accrues for each completed financial year (capped at 5). Purchasing additional holidays is capped at 5 per year.

^^Contracted staff only. Business mileage (55p a mile) is paid for any daily miles over and above the distance from your home to the allocated workplace location and back. You'll need a well-maintained vehicle with valid tax, MOT and Insurance covering business use.
