We are recruiting for the new Community Diagnostic Centre at Wisbech!

Are you passionate about exceptional healthcare and would you like to make a difference in your local community? The Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Wisbech presents an exciting opportunity for the role of clinical Chaperones.

The aim of the new CDC is to make it easier for people to access diagnostic services such as Ultrasound, Echo and Respiratory outside of acute hospital facilities. This approach will help alleviate the pressure on hospitals, offer quicker access to tests, and enhance convenience for patients.

You will serve as a champion for patient safety and act as an ambassador for NHS values ensuring excellent healthcare and customer service.

This is a full time position, 37.5 flexible working hours per week in order to support a service that will eventually run 7 days a week and extended hours 8am-8pm. Please kindly note you will be required to attend training at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge as part of your role and you may be required to provide cover at our CDC in Ely.

***Face to face interviews will be held on Monday 26th October 2026 at the Community Diagnostic Centre, North Cambridgeshire Hospital. Churchill Road. Wisbech PE13 3AB***

You will work as part of a team providing a high quality of service to patients, colleagues and the public.

Under the direction of the registered practitioner in charge, ensure a smooth workflow by organising patients and liaising with the multi-disciplinary team.

Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures including the completion of pre-procedural assessments/checklists and clinical observations.

Ensure medical devices are ready for use including safety checks.

Actively monitor and report any change in patient condition or any problem or hazard within the department to the registered practitioner in charge.
