Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is recruiting an experienced Childcare Lecturer for a well-established college in West Yorkshire on a full-time temporary contract. Location: West Yorkshire. You will deliver engaging Level 1 and 2 Childcare lessons, plan and assess, and monitor progress in line with awarding body requirements.

Applicants should have a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) and a relevant degree. Strong classroom management and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Level 1 and Level 2 Childcare in a FE college.
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
• A degree or qualification in Maths or a related subject.
• Strong classroom management and ability to engage learners with diverse needs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 Childcare lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with awarding body requirements.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessments.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment that motivates learners.
• Demonstrate strong teaching practice and uphold safeguarding policies.

Pay Rate: Daily Rate Negotiable

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Level 1 & 2 Childcare lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with awarding body requirements.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessments.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment that motivates and supports learners to achieve their potential.
• Previous experience teaching level 1 and 2 Childcare in a Further Education college.
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
• A relevant degree or recognised qualification in Maths or a related subject.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners with diverse needs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
