Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Science Lecturer to join a well-established college in East Yorkshire on a full-time temporary contract. The role requires delivering a broad science curriculum, supporting learners of varying abilities, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

You'll plan, prepare and assess lessons to meet awarding body requirements, monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain clear records of attendance and outcomes.

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
• A relevant degree or recognised qualification in Maths or a related subject.
• Strong classroom management and ability to engage learners with diverse needs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with awarding body requirements.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessments.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment that motivates and supports learners to achieve their potential.
• Previous experience teaching all disciplines of science within a Further Education college.
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
• A relevant degree or recognised qualification in Maths or a related subject.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners with diverse needs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
