Job summary

Morgan Hunt is seeking an experienced Childcare Lecturer for a well-established college in West Yorkshire on a full-time temporary contract. The role covers Level 1 and Level 2 Childcare teaching, lesson planning, assessment, and progress monitoring within a supportive learning environment.

The successful candidate will have a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed/DTLLS or equivalent) and a relevant degree, with strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Level 1 and 2 Childcare in Further Education.
• Strong classroom management and engagement across diverse learners.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Level 1 and 2 Childcare lessons to students.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons per awarding body requirements.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to support achievement.
• Maintain accurate attendance, progress and assessment records.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment that supports learners.

Role Details

• Position: Childcare Lecturer (Level 1 & 2)

• Contract: Full-time, Temporary
• Pay Rate: Daily Rate Negotiable

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Level 1 & 2 Childcare lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with awarding body requirements.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessments.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment that motivates and supports learners to achieve their potential.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience teaching level 1 and 2 Childcare in a Further Education college.
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
• A relevant degree or recognised qualification in Maths or a related subject.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners with diverse needs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
