Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery Group in Wellingborough is seeking a Nursery Nurse to join a caring team delivering high‑quality care for children aged 0–5. The setting opened in December 2023 in Glenvale Park with three rooms and a large garden, and can accommodate up to 100 children daily.

You will contribute to a safe, inclusive environment, follow nursery policies, and engage children with creative activities. On-site parking and good transport links are available.

Qualifications

• Must have full and relevant childcare qualification or experience in the sector.
• Ability to work as part of a caring team to support children aged 0–5.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care for children aged 0–5 as part of a team.
• Ensure smooth day‑to‑day nursery operations by following policies and procedures.

Every day is an adventure in this exciting and rewarding role! As a Nursery Nurse, you’ll be part of a caring team that supports children from 3 months to pre-school age. You’ll bring energy, creativity, and warmth to every day - helping little ones thrive in a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment.

We offer a variety of opportunities, including:

Full time, 40 hours a week

Job shares, varying from 2-3 days a week

Part time, 20 hours a week

Supply roles enabling you to achieve the work/life balance you are looking for

Salary for Nursery Nurse is up to £28,392 per annum

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Working together with the rest of the team to provide high quality care for children aged 0-5.

Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery by adhering to the relevant policies and procedures.

Using your knowledge, experience and imagination to come up with new ideas and activities.

Building relationships with children and communicating well with their parents.

Making sure every working day is fun!

About our Wellingborough Nursery

Located in Glenvale Park, our purpose-built nursery opened in December 2023 and features three spacious rooms and a large garden.

The nursery can accommodate up to 100 children per day, offering an engaging and enabling environment.

We provide free on-site parking, and the train station is just a 5-minute drive away for those using public transport.
