Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery in Wellingborough (NN8 6BQ) is seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse/Practitioner to join a caring team supporting children from 0-5 years. The role offers various full-time, part-time and flexible shifts, with a focus on high-quality care in a safe, inclusive environment.

The nursery emphasises play-based learning, strong parental communication, and adherence to EYFS guidelines, with DBS checks and a supportive, value-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Suitable qualifications: an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, and the ability to refer to the EYFS Framework when planning activities.
• To be aware of the role of planning, observation and keeping records when caring for nursery aged children.
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs.
• A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check

Responsibilities

• Working together with the rest of the team to provide high quality care for children aged 0-5.
• Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery by adhering to the relevant policies and procedures.
• Using your knowledge, experience and imagination to come up with new ideas and activities.
• Building relationships with children and communicating well with their parents.

Nursery Nurse

• Full time, 40 hours a week
• Job shares, varying from 2-3 days a week

Salary for Nursery Nurse is up to £28,392 per annum

About our Wellingborough Nursery

Located in Glenvale Park, our purpose-built nursery opened in December 2023 and features three spacious rooms and a large garden.

The nursery can accommodate up to 100 children per day, offering an engaging and enabling environment.

We provide free on-site parking, and the train station is just a 5-minute drive away for those using public transport.
