Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver in the Watnall area to join a small team. You will perform residential, commercial, and recycling waste collections, working with up to three loaders to ensure routes are completed on time.

The role requires flexibility for occasional loading assistance, with start times around 06:00 and a typical finish around 14:00 once rounds are completed. Immediate full-time hours with potential permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Driving Licence with Category C entitlement.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Driver CPC Card required.
• Desirable: previous refuse collection experience.
• No more than 3 penalty points on licence.

Job description

Progression to permanent position available, alongside no weekend working and early finishes.

As an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver your duties will include:

• Residential waste collections
• Commercial waste collections
• Recycling waste collections

You will be working with a team of up to three loaders, ensuring that collections are made with the set timeframes.

Good communication with both your team and the general public is paramount.

Due to the nature of the work, you will be expected to assist with the loading if necessary, therefore you must be flexible in your approach to the role.

Successful candidate are required to have: -

• A valid UK Driving Licence with Category C entitlement
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A valid Driver CPC Card
• Previous refuse collection or refuse driving experience is desirable
• No more than 3 penalty points on your driving licence

This is an ongoing opportunity offering full time hours and a potential permanent job.

Your working days will be Monday to Friday. Start time will be 06:00, finishing when the round has been successfully completed, typically this is around 14:00.

The rate of pay for this role is £16.62 per hour. In addition to this you will accrue up to 28 days holiday per year.
