Job summary

Evergreen Dry Cleaners is seeking a reliable team member to load and unload clothing and linen, operate washing and drying machines, and handle garments with care.

The role includes customer service at the counter, cash handling, folding and ironing, and maintaining a safe, tidy workspace in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Face-to-face customer service in a busy shop.
• Handling money and using the till.
• Physical fitness required due to regular manual handling.
• Ability to work as part of a team and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload clothes/linen from washing machines using correct cycles and detergents.
• Load and unload tumble dryers and dry-cleaning machines with proper time and heat settings.
• Press bedsheets and garments using linen machines; fold and bag clothes accurately.
• Iron and steam garments, welcome customers politely at the counter, and maintain a tidy work area.

Job description

Loading and unloading clothes/linen from washing machines using correct cycle and detergents. Loading and unloading tumbler dryers and dry cleaning machine using correct time and heat settings. Heavy lifting and carrying required.

Using linen machine for pressing of bedsheets etc. Folding and ironing of clothes and bagging appropriately.

Dealing with customers face to face being polite & courteous at all times. Handling money and using the till. Giving out correct customer garments and correct change

Using an upright steamer as well as a traditional iron whilst handling & treating customer garments with care. Dealing with customers face to face being polite & courteous at all times

Working well within a team as well as working alone and using time management. Must be physically fit due to regular manual handling. Maintain a safe work environment.
