Job summary

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing is looking for a Care Assistant to support clients at home in Wakefield and surrounding areas. You will assist with daily living, provide companionship, and help maintain independence and dignity through personalised care.

No prior experience required; full training provided. Flexible shifts from 7am–3pm or 3pm–10pm with mileage allowance. DBS encouraged; local Assessment Centre fast-track available for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training provided.
• DBS check not required but transferable.
• Demonstrated compassion and reliability are valued.

Responsibilities

• Supporting clients with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Preparing meals and assisting with light domestic tasks

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you'll be a vital part of helping our clients maintain independence and dignity in their own homes. This includes emotional and physical support, helping with daily living tasks, and offering companionship.

Your responsibilities will include:
