Job summary

Sugarman Health & Wellbeing Limited is seeking a Complex Support Worker (Female) to provide 2:1 complex care in the client’s home. The role involves assisting a female client in her 50s who is recovering from a stroke, including mobility support, PEG feeding, and monitoring for epilepsy and other conditions.

We provide comprehensive specialist training, ongoing support from a dedicated team, and clear pathways for career progression within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of professional UK care experience.
  • Successful applicants must have valid Right to Work in the UK and Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred).
  • Sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 2:1 complex care support for an engaged female client in her 50s after a stroke.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers (wheelchair use) and ensure safe personal care.
  • Manage PEG feeding and Level 5 diet / Level 2 fluids as part of nutrition care.

Job Title: Complex Support worker - Female

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Shifts: 3-4 shifts per week (8 AM - 8 PM, 12-hour shifts)

Contract: Bank

In this dedicated role, you will provide 2:1 complex care support for an engaging female client in her 50s recovering from a life-changing stroke. She requires compassionate, tailored assistance with mobility (wheelchair user) and nutrition (non-oral feeding support), alongside skilled management for Epilepsy, Arthritis, and Cerebrovascular disease.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Dignified Personal Care: Delivering respectful, compassionate assistance (washing, dressing, toileting).

Safe Mobility Support: Assisting with physical mobility and manual handling techniques (wheelchair transfers).

Nutritional Management: Managing PEG feeding and specialized nourishment plans (Level 5 diet / Level 2 fluid).

Medication Administration: Administering medication safely and accurately (full training provided).

Complex Condition Care: Supporting complex medical needs, including Epilepsy, Arthritis, and Cerebrovascular disease.

Symptom Monitoring: Helping monitor and manage symptoms such as pain, numbness, tingling, and sleep disruption.

Companionship: Providing uplifting companionship, encouragement, and emotional reassurance.

Documentation: Maintaining precise care plans and communicating updates promptly.

Who We're Looking For:

Experience: A minimum of 6 months of professional UK care experience.

Specialist Knowledge: Experience in Complex Care is preferred, but not essential-we provide full specialist training!

Compliance: Valid Right to Work in the UK. ( We do not offer sponsorship)

DBS Check: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Personal Attributes: A warm, empathetic, and reliable approach to care delivery.
