Job summary

Sugarman Health & Wellbeing Limited is recruiting a Care Assistant to support a service user with a C2 spinal cord injury at home. You will provide personal care, mobility support and companionship, following care plans and reporting changes to the care team.

We offer comprehensive training, clear progression, and weekly pay. A driver with mobility van is required; flexibility for day and night shifts is available, with a supportive team across the UK.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months UK care experience required.
  • Driver with access to mobility van required.
  • Willingness to assist with physical tasks (e.g., gardening, long walks).

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including washing, dressing and toileting.
  • Assist with mobility and manual handling.
  • Support with meal preparation and feeding where necessary.
  • Monitor and record vital signs after training.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
  • Prompt or assist with medication when required and trained.
  • Help with household tasks and laundry.
  • Follow care plans and report changes to the care team.
  • Maintain dignity, respect and confidentiality at all times.

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you'll support vulnerable individuals in their own homes, helping them to live safely, independently, and with dignity. You'll assist with a range of tasks, from personal care to emotional support and everyday activities.

Requirements:

Minimum 6 months care experience (Essential)

Driver required (Mobility van)

Willing to assist with physical tasks (e.g., gardening, long walks)

Your responsibilities will include:

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for individuals who are compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality care. Ideally, you will have:

  • A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience.
  • Complex Care experience preferred, but not a mandatory need.
