Job summary

Hatfield Nursery Ltd in Torquay is seeking an experienced EYFS Leader to manage our PVI nursery based at Priory School. A 3–6 month handover will help you get to know managers, staff, children and families; training, meetings and forums are available.

The nursery cares for children 0-5 years old and operates 7.30am-5.30pm, with duties including safeguarding and SEND oversight. You will guide staff, promote high standards, and ensure a nurturing environment.

• As Nursery Manager, lead the nursery to promote high standards of provision for children aged 0-5.
• Oversee safeguarding as Designated Safeguarding Lead and support SEND leads.

The nursery operates from 7.30am-5.30pm except Bank Holidays and Christmas to New Year.

As Nursery Manager you will have a strong understanding of child development, attachment and inclusive practice, leading with passion and dedication to ensure all our children grow educationally and thrive socially and emotionally.

You will be the Designated Safeguarding Lead and have a secure knowledge and experience of safeguarding. You will oversee SEND and support the SEND leads.

As the Nursery Manager you will be an experienced practitioner and leader, play a crucial role in promoting high standards within our nursery and supporting staff in their role as practitioners, providing guidance and mentorship to foster professional growth.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, staffing, organisation and smooth running of the nursery, ensuring that the best possible environment and care is provided for our children, families and staff.
