Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician in Tonbridge. The role requires MOT testing, a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, and a valid UK Driving Licence. Basic salary £34,000–£37,000 with bonuses and a 40-hour week including Saturday mornings on a rota.

The successful candidate will work in a busy dealership workshop, perform MOT testing, servicing and inspections, and benefit from ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current MOT Testing Licence required.
• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT testing alongside servicing and mechanical repair work.
• Carry out vehicle servicing and maintenance to required standards.
• Complete pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Carry out vehicle health checks and identify additional work.
• Diagnose and complete minor mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Fit vehicle accessories when required.
• Road test vehicles following repairs and complete relevant workshop documentation.

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Mechanic to join a busy dealership workshop in Tonbridge. Applicants must hold a current MOT Testing Licence, a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK.

Location: Tonbridge

Salary: £34,000–£37,000 basic depending on qualifications + bonus

Hours: 40 hours – Monday to Friday 8:30am–5:00pm, plus Saturday mornings 8:30am–12:30pm on a rota
