Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited has a Tonbridge vacancy for an experienced Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester. The role combines MOT testing with servicing and repairs in a busy dealership workshop. A Level 3 LV Maintenance and Repair cert is required, along with a current MOT licence and a full UK driving licence.

Salary ranges £34,000-£37,000 basic, plus bonus and an OTE of £41,000+. The position is 40 hours weekly, Mon-Fri 8:30-5, with Saturday rota mornings.

Qualifications

• Current MOT Testing Licence is essential.
• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent is essential.
• Previous experience as Vehicle Technician, MOT Tester, Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
• Strong hands-on servicing, inspection and repair skills.
• Dealership or independent garage experience is considered.
• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT testing alongside servicing and mechanical repair work.
• Complete pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Carry out vehicle health checks and identify additional work.
• Complete servicing and maintenance to required standards.
• Diagnose and complete minor mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Fit vehicle accessories when required.
• Road test vehicles following repairs and complete workshop documentation.

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Mechanic to join a busy dealership workshop in Tonbridge. Applicants must hold a current MOT Testing Licence, a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK.

• Salary: £34,000-£37,000 basic depending on qualifications + bonus

• Hours: 40 hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, plus Saturday mornings 8:30am-12:30pm on a rota
