Search Consultancy LTD seeks a Lead Supervisor for a major transmission substation project at Dounreay West, Caithness. This is a senior site leadership role coordinating supervisors, teams and work fronts under the Senior Site Manager / Project Manager.

The ideal candidate has substantial substation background and a track record leading teams within electricity transmission. You will ensure safe, timely delivery with quality and cost control, reporting to project management.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Supervisor to support a major transmission substation project at Dounreay West in Caithness.

This is a senior site leadership position, responsible for coordinating supervisors, teams and multiple work fronts on behalf of the Senior Site Manager / Project Manager.

The role would suit an experienced supervisor with a strong substation background and proven experience leading teams within the electricity supply industry.

Role Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and lead supervisors, site teams and work activities across multiple work fronts.
• Work closely with the Installation Manager and Senior Site Management team.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, to the required quality and within cost.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical installation activities across the site.
• Plan upcoming works and ensure teams have the required engineering information, plant, materials and resources.
• Coordinate with other work parties to maintain safe and efficient working.
• Monitor programme and identify potential delays or deviations at an early stage.
• Ensure delays, disruption and issues are communicated to Site Management.
• Lead by example and ensure all site personnel comply with site rules and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality plans.
• Support the preparation and completion of project documentation.
• Ensure task cards are completed within the required timescales.
• Provide leadership and support to supervisors and wider site teams.
• Maintain effective working relationships across the project team.

Experience Required:

• Previous experience in a senior supervisory / lead supervisory position.
• Strong substation experience within an electricity transmission or distribution environment.
• Experience leading supervisors and multiple site teams.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical installation activities.
• Previous experience working on National Grid, SSE, SPEN or similar transmission/substation projects.
• Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements within a substation environment.
• Apprentice trained with C&G / NVQ Level 3 in an appropriate discipline plus at least 3 years' supervisory experience, or degree qualified with relevant supervisory experience.
