Job summary

East Anglia's Children's Hospices is seeking a Retail Shop Manager to lead the Lime Kiln Shop in Thetford. You will manage staff and volunteers to maximise income from donations, new products and Gift Aid while delivering a welcoming, well-presented shopper experience.

You will drive performance through effective merchandising, pricing, and promotions, build local community relationships and ensure smooth day-to-day operations with safety and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail team and delivering customer service excellence.
• Ability to drive income through merchandising, pricing and promotions.
• Experience coordinating volunteers and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff and volunteers to maximise income from donated goods, new products, Gift Aid and ecommerce.

East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH) is looking for a Retail Shop Manager to lead the team at our Lime Kiln Shop. This is a fantastic opportunity to join EACH’s vibrant retail team and manage one of our charity shops to maximise income from donated goods, new products, Gift Aid, and eCommerce.

You’ll support a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, drive community engagement, and ensure a welcoming, inclusive and efficiently retail environment while supporting children and young people with life-threatening conditions and their families.

Our Lime Kiln shop is EACH's only 1-2-3 concept. It benefits from being in a busy shopping area in the centre of Thetford. The stock comes into the shop in large volumes, it needs to move fast, and the customers expect to find bargains and great deals. It’s an environment where no 2 days are the same.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading a team of staff and volunteers to deliver outstanding customer service and maximise income from donated goods, new products, Gift Aid, and eCommerce.
• Creating a welcoming, inclusive and well-presented shop environment.
• Driving performance through effective merchandising, pricing, and promotional activity.
