Job summary

East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH) is seeking a Retail Sales Supervisor for our Poringland shop. The role supports the Shop Manager, acts as Duty Manager in their absence, and leads our dedicated volunteer team in providing excellent customer service and charitable fundraising.

You will help maximise income from donated goods, new products, Gift Aid and our eCommerce presence, while ensuring a welcoming, inclusive shop environment for customers and volunteers alike.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail and customer service.
• Ability to work weekends on a rotational basis.
• Comfort leading volunteers in a shop setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Shop Manager in achieving sales targets.
• Maintain high standards of display, presentation and cleanliness.
• Promote Gift Aid and grow our eCommerce presence.
• Act as Duty Manager when required, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Recruit, train and support volunteers in a positive environment.
• Build strong relationships with customers and the local community.

Job Description

East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH) is looking for a Retail Sales Supervisor at our Poringland Shop. This is a fantastic opportunity to join EACH’s vibrant retail team and be an essential member of one of our charity shops to maximise income from donated goods, new products, Gift Aid, and eCommerce.

As a Retail Sales Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Shop Manager, acting as Duty Manager in their absence. You’ll also help lead and inspire our amazing volunteer team, ensuring they feel valued and empowered.

Located near to the Nook our shop benefits from a loyal customer base and strong community support. It is one of our highly donated shops, and the team ensures customers are tempted by a wide range of stylish, quality pre-loved and new goods. This varied environment makes every day different and provides an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys retail, customer service, and teamwork.
