Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a commercial building in Westminster, London. You will perform planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the on-site team, ensuring equipment runs smoothly.

The role requires experience in facilities maintenance, including pumps, motors, air handling units, water treatment, plumbing and basic electrical work. Attractive package with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant and equipment.
• Maintain pumps, motors, seals, bearings.
• Service air handling units / FCUs and AHUs.
• Conduct water treatment checks and dosing verification.
• Perform plumbing duties and basic electrical tasks.
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractors on site.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider - Commercial Building – Westminster, London- up to £47,000

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer based in a commercial building in Westminster, London. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in Mechanical building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £47,000, overtime, further training and a potential route into further career progression.

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday – rotating early and late shift - Week 1 06:00 – 15:00 / Week 2 13:00 – 22:00

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant
• Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
• Monitor the BMS systems.
• Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
• General building fabric
• Escort specialist subcontractors

Requirements

• Mechanically qualified - City & Guilds Level 2 (Essential)
• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled
• Good communication skills
