Job summary

Bromford is recruiting an Electrician for a fixed-term 11-month role covering North Stratford, Dudley and Northampton. You will focus on maintenance, repairs, and installations across residential and commercial properties, ensuring safety and compliance with wiring regulations.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition wiring regulations or equivalent time served.
• City & Guilds Electrical Test and Inspection Certificate.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification.
• AM2 qualification preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), repairs, and installations across domestic and commercial properties.
• Maintaining and fault‑finding on electrical and mechanical systems, including boiler controls, pumps, communal lighting, hot water systems, and HVAC units.
• Completing rewiring, testing, and inspections to ensure systems are safe and compliant.
• Diagnosing issues quickly and delivering high-quality, efficient repairs.
• Managing materials, recording work accurately, and working safely in line with regulations.
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring homes are safe and fit for purpose across our properties in North Stratford, Dudley and Northampton.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience with 18th Edition wiring regulations or equivalent time served
• City & Guilds Electrical Test and Inspection Certificate
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification
• AM2 qualification preferred but not essential
• Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices
• Proficiency with IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Commitment to Bromford's values and acting as a positive ambassador for the organisation
• Proactive, flexible attitude to work and travel
• Enhanced DBS check (arranged by BFL)
