Job summary

Bromford is recruiting an Electrician for an 11-month fixed-term contract covering properties in North Stratford, Dudley and Northampton. The role focuses on maintenance, repairs and installations with structured workloads and full tool support including a company van.

You'll be part of a busy team providing high-quality electrical services, with on-call duties paid at £864/week and a comprehensive benefits package, including generous holiday entitlements and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition wiring regulations is required or time served
• City & Guilds Electrical Test and Inspection Certificate is required
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification is required
• AM2 qualification is preferred but not essential

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), repairs, and installations across domestic and commercial properties
• Maintaining and fault-finding on electrical and mechanical systems including boiler controls, pumps, lighting, hot water systems and HVAC units
• Completing rewiring, testing and inspections to ensure systems are safe and compliant
• Diagnosing issues quickly and delivering high-quality repairs
• Managing materials, recording work accurately and working safely in line with regulations
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring homes are safe across North Stratford, Dudley and Northampton

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), repairs, and installations across domestic and commercial properties
• Maintaining and fault‑finding on electrical and mechanical systems, including boiler controls, pumps, communal lighting, hot water systems, and HVAC units
• Completing rewiring, testing, and inspections to ensure systems are safe and compliant
• Diagnosing issues quickly and delivering high‑quality, efficient repairs
• Managing materials, recording work accurately, and working safely in line with regulations
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring homes are safe and fit for purpose across our properties in North Stratford, Dudley and Northampton

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with 18th Edition wiring regulations or equivalent time served
• City & Guilds Electrical Test and Inspection Certificate
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification
• AM2 qualification preferred but not essential
• Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices
• Proficiency with IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Commitment to Bromford's values and acting as a positive ambassador for the organisation
• Full, clean driving licence
• Proactive, flexible attitude to work and travel
• Enhanced DBS check (arranged by BFL)
