Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd in Staines-upon-Thames is looking for a skilled Carpenter & Joiner to join our housing repairs team. You will perform routine and responsive carpentry repairs in occupied homes, replace doors and fittings, fit kitchens, skirting and architraves, and install or repair timber floors and stairs.

You will need a Full UK driving licence and be prepared to undergo a DBS check. A company vehicle, fuel card and uniform are provided along with generous leave and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry repairs in residential settings.
• Valid Full UK driving licence.
• DBS check (background check) preferred or required.

• Replace and repair internal doors, frames, handles, locks and hinges.
• Fit and adjust kitchen units, worktops, cupboards and pelmets.

• Make good after repairs including basic plastering or tiling where needed.
• Use a PDA to manage, update, and close work orders with accurate progress, materials, and notes.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm

Salary: £40,061.00 per annum

We have an opportunity for a skilled and experienced Carpenter & Joiner to join a dedicated housing repairs and maintenance team in Staines-upon-Thames.

Responsibilities

Carrying out routine and responsive carpentry repairs in occupied residential properties as part of a maintenance service.

Replacing and repairing internal doors, frames, handles, locks, and hinges.

Fitting and adjusting kitchen units, worktops, cupboard doors, and pelmets.

Installing or replacing skirting boards, architraves, and other decorative joinery.

Repairing or replacing timber flooring, stair components, and handrails as required.

Making good following repairs, including basic patch plastering or tiling where needed.

Using a PDA device to manage, update, and close work orders in real time, ensuring accurate recording of job progress, materials used, and completion notes.

Requirements
