Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited seeks HGV Class 1 Drivers for a South Kirkby client. The role is full-time, temp to perm, with trunking to RDCs/NDCs nationwide on planned routes and schedules.

You will complete 2–4 runs per shift, perform daily safety checks, and comply with transport and health & safety rules while delivering to customers.

Pay is £17.00 per hour Mon-Fri, £19.00 Sat, £20.00 Sun, with PAYE and 28 days holiday accrual per year.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• New passes welcome.
• Solid commercial driving background.

Responsibilities

• Trunking to RDCs and NDCs nationwide on planned routes and schedules.

Job description

HGV CLASS 1 DRIVERS NEEDED - IMMEDIATE START – TEMP TO PERM – SOUTH KIRKBY

Our client, based in South Kirkby, provide a host of national fulfilment, distribution and warehouse services and have in excess of 2 million square feet of prime modern warehousing facilities, supported by over 600 technologically advanced and well-maintained vehicles, and are now looking to add additional HGV Class 1 Drivers to their team.

As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for trunking to RDC’s and NDC’s nationwide working to planned routes and schedules, you'll play a key role in ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

Drivers can expect to complete between 2 and 4 runs per and will at times be responsible for the use of IST trailers, full training will be provided.

All drivers will be expected to carry out daily vehicle safety inspections, adhere to all transport and health and safety regulations, complete delivery documentation accurately, and maintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with customers.

To be considered for thsi role you must have the following

• A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C) Driving Licence
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence
• New passes welcome
• A solid commercial driving background with the ability to work confidently and efficiently from day one

This is a full time temp to perm position

Working hours are Monday to Friday with starty times ranging between 0100 and 1000.

4 on 4 off shifts are also available

Pay for thsi role is £17.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £19.00 per hour on Saturdays and £20.00 per hour Sundays.

All of the above rates are PAYE with 28 days holday acrual each year
