Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for our Kirkby client on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a long-term role with a well‑established company and an opportunity to secure a permanent position.

The role involves class 1 driving with multi‑drop deliveries across the UK, typically Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work pre‑agreed. You will be responsible for securing loads with ratchet straps, completing paperwork accurately, and adhering to drivers’ hours

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Licence (C+E) and CPC with tachograph card.
• Experience securing loads with ratchet straps.
• Understanding of drivers' hours regulations.
• Reliable, professional and safety-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Class 1 driving with multi-drop deliveries across the UK.
• 23 nights out per week (not a full-time tramping role).
• Secure loads using ratchet straps and complete deliveries safely and on time.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with regulations.

The Role:

• Class 1 driving with multi-drop deliveries across the UK
• 23 nights out per week (this is not a full-time tramping role)
• Securing all loads using ratchet straps
• Completing deliveries safely, efficiently, and on time
• Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately
• Adhering to all drivers' hours and transport regulations

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Experience securing loads with ratchet straps
• A good understanding of drivers' hours regulations
• Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach to work
