Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for an ongoing role based in Stallingborough, supporting a nationwide freight operation.

You will drive modern Class 1 (C+E) vehicles across the UK, perform vehicle checks and maintain safety while handling a variety of loads. The role is days, with some weekends and occasional nights out, 40-50 hours per week, paid at £17.50 per hour and 28 days' paid holiday.

• Experience with trunking, general haulage or UK-wide deliveries desirable.

Job description

I am Currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers to join an operation based in Stallingborough, working on behalf of a worldwide freight and logistics service.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular Class 1 work with a well-established operation handling a wide variety of freight and deliveries throughout the UK.

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of a variety of loads to customers and sites across the UK.

You can expect to:

• Drive modern Class 1 (C+E) vehicles across the UK
• Carry a variety of freight and loads
• Deliver to a wide range of locations and customer sites
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are operated safely
• Secure and transport loads in accordance with company procedures
• Complete delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records accurately
• Maintain a professional approach when dealing with customers and delivery sites
• Comply with all UK driving legislation, Working Time Regulations and drivers' hours

For this position, you must have:

• A minimum of 1 year's Class 1 HGV driving experience
• A good understanding of UK road networks
• Experience with trunking, general haulage or UK-wide deliveries is desirable
• The ability to complete vehicle checks and maintain high safety standards
• A professional and reliable approach to work
• Good communication and customer service skills
• The flexibility to undertake overnight stays when required

The position is long term, ongoing

This role is days, some weekends and possible nights out. 40-50 hours a week.

You will be paid £17.50 an hour and accrue up to 28 days paid holiday a year.
