Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking an experienced MIG and TIG Welder for a day shift in Sittingbourne, United Kingdom. You will weld thin gauge mild steel and stainless steel and read engineering drawings, including welding symbols.

• MIG and TIG welding on thin gauge materials (mild steel and stainless).
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, including welding symbols.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and tolerances (0.9 mm to 10.00 mm).
• Overtime available at time and a half; potential use of a robotic welder is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG & TIG welding on thin gauge materials.

Job description

• MIG & TIG Welding on thin guage materials, including mild steel and stainless steel
• Have experience of working to tolerances between 0.9mm and 10.00mm
• General MIG & TIG welding
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including welding symbols
• If you have knowledge of using a Robotic Welder this is an advantage

Candidates ideally will have a good understanding of sheet metal fabrication and possess a minimum of 5 years previous experience.

This is a day shift role, working Monday to Friday, plus there is overtime available at time and a half. The company offer good training opportunities, together with good career progression.
