Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is seeking an experienced fabricator/welder for a busy engineering workshop in Tendring. You will weld using MIG and TIG, fabricate from drawings, and work from detailed specs to produce quality steel components.

You\'ll read engineering drawings, follow safety rules, and collaborate with a small team to complete varied fabrication jobs from prep to finish. Overtime available at time-and-a-third; 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 07:15–16:00.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations.
• Any welding certifications (coding) would be an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

Overtime: paid at time and one-third, good hours available

Monday to Friday, 0715 to 1600 hours - 40 hours per week

Core requirement: MIG & TIG Welding + Fabrication

Any structural steel experience beneficial

Join a busy, local, established engineering workshop producing high-quality fabricated steelwork and welded assemblies. You'll be working on a range of fabrication jobs, from prep through to final finish, following engineering drawings and specs.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform TIG and MIG welding to manufacture components.

Fabrication from drawings (cut, prep, tack, weld, dress/finish)

Work from detailed engineering drawings to meet project specifications.

Ensure high-quality workmanship in the fabrication of sheet metal components.

Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards in the workplace.
