Aspris Ridgeway School, a specialist autism school for 7-16 year olds, is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join the education support team. You will work alongside Teachers and Therapists to deliver a personalised curriculum and support pupils across learning, social and independence activities.
The role requires flexibility, empathy and strong communication. Training and safeguarding checks are provided to help you progress within Aspris Children’s Services.
Salary: £13.45 per hour during probation, rising to £13.65

You will be a key member of our education support team, working as part of a specialist team of Teachers and Therapists to deliver a specialist curriculum that motivates and inspires our students.Experience as a Teaching Assistant or carer would be beneficial, but as long as you have the communication skills and passion required for this role and a willingness to learn, we will give you all the training and development you need to succeed.Whilst not essential, experience of supporting children with autism and complex needs would be an advantage.Successful candidates, through the support of IT resources will contribute to the effective implementation of individual programmes by supporting the teaching and learning, social and independence activities and experiences, which enhance the learning and development of children and young people.Being flexible in approach, emotionally available and resilient is an important characteristic for this role.Ideally you would have experience in problem solving, have basic PC and iPad confidence, ability to communicate effectively via email and prioritise tasks.
