Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).

• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Assessment includes theory (drivers hours & road laws) and a practical element.
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Flexible shifts to suit availabilities.
• Onsite clinic days to support training.
• Onsite recruitment team for day-to-day assistance.

Responsibilities

• Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
• Collect parcels from well-known customers, including full trailer collections, drop and swap operations.
• Handle occasional push rollers and assist with movement when required.
• Reversing in yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision (shunting).
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle for roadworthiness and policy compliance.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company policies to maintain safety on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Rugby area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

0 experience needed!

FREE Onsite Refresher Training offered to Newly Qualified drivers.

Hours: Days/Nights across Monday to Sunday with various start times available, average shift length of 12 hours.

+£2 Per hour from 22nd of November!

Location: Rugby, CV23.

Job Type: Long term ongoing.

The role:

• Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.
• Collect parcels from well-known customers, including full trailer collections, drop and swap operations.
• Handle occasional push roller cages as needed, assisting sites with movement when required.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Choose your own shifts, with shifts to suit all availabilities.
• Clinic days on-site to support drivers with training and areas they require support.
