Job summary

Kenect Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Night Warehouse Operative (Role 2) for a 22:00–06:00 shift. This temporary role offers £13.45 per hour and requires a valid forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach).

You will safely operate a forklift, load and unload deliveries, move materials and finished stock, and conduct daily safety checks. You’ll also assist with production duties, packaging, labeling, and quality checks, reporting faults to the shift supervisor to keep the site tidy and safe.

Qualifications

• In-date forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach) accredited by RTITB or ITSSAR.
• Experience in production, manufacturing, or warehousing.

Role Overview

To support manufacturing and warehouse operations by safely operating machinery, assembling or monitoring products, and using a forklift to load, unload, and transport stock.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance or Reach forklift safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload deliveries from incoming and outgoing vehicles.
• Move raw materials, pallets, and finished stock to designated warehouse locations.
• Conduct daily safety checks on the forklift before use and report any faults

Production & Manufacturing Duties

• Operate, monitor, and feed materials into manufacturing equipment or production lines.
• Assemble product parts or package and label finished goods for dispatch.
• Perform quality control checks to spot defects and ensure standards are met.
• Report low stock levels, machine faults, or quality issues to the shift supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe workspace in line with health and safety guidelines

Requirements

• A valid, in-date Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach, accredited by RTITB or ITSSAR).
• Previous background working as a production operative, manufacturing operative, or warehouse worker.
