Job summary

First Call Contract Services, Ltd. is seeking a Pre-Pack Forklift Driver to operate forklifts safely in the pre-pack facility, moving raw materials, packaging and finished products while supporting production and maintaining strict food safety and housekeeping standards.

You will load and unload vehicles, move stock between areas, supply lines, and record movements using stock control systems. A valid Counterbalance licence and prior forklift experience are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
• Previous experience operating forklifts.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck forklifts safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles efficiently and accurately.
• Move raw materials, packaging, and finished goods between storage and production areas.
• Supply production lines with required materials to ensure continuous operation.
• Put away stock in designated locations and maintain stock accuracy.
• Carry out daily forklift safety checks and report any defects immediately.
• Use scanning systems, stock control systems, or paperwork to record stock movements.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
• Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in warehouse and production areas.
• Comply with all Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental procedures.
• Support other warehouse and pre-pack duties as required

Shift: 4 on4 off

Salary: £13.52 – After 40 hours x1.25 (£16.90)

Position Overview:

To safely and efficiently operate forklift trucks within the pre-pack facility, ensuring the timely movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished products while supporting production and maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and housekeeping. Responsibilities typically include loading, unloading, stock movements, and supplying production lines
