Job summary

St. Joseph’s is seeking a Lunchtime Organiser (Midday Supervisor) to join our Trust at a time of transition and growth. The role focuses on supervising pupils during lunch, managing dining arrangements and hygiene, and providing basic First Aid as needed.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Lunchtime Organiser and teachers to support welfare and discipline, while upholding confidentiality and safeguarding standards within our Catholic school community.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with and/or caring for children within an educational setting.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to provide support with the medical care of pupils.
  • A willingness to undertake relevant training.
  • A flexible and dedicated approach to work and who will support the ethos of the school.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the mid-day break to ensure safety and welfare of pupils.

Job description

St. Joseph’s are currently seeking a Lunchtime Organiser (Midday Supervisor). This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.

The main duties of the role are:

  • To undertake the supervision, security, welfare and good conduct of children during the mid-day break.
  • To oversee the dining arrangements, including the hygiene of pupils and the dining area.
  • To attend to minor First Aid needs of children in accordance with school policy.
  • To liaise closely with the Senior Lunchtime Organiser and class teachers on the welfare and discipline of pupils.
  • To respect the confidentiality of sensitive information from pupils and staff.
