Perfect Placement UK Ltd seeks a dedicated Vehicle Technician in Stroud to diagnose faults, service and repair vehicles to high standards. You will join a reputable family-run service centre with a supportive team and clear progression opportunities.

The role offers a 37-hour week (Mon-Thu 8:00-17:00, Fri 8:00-13:00), flexi-time, early Friday finishes, enhanced holiday entitlement, and potential fuel allowance, plus ongoing training and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is required.
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Experience in fault diagnostics, servicing and repairs.
• Motivated, reliable and able to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault diagnosis on a variety of vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs to vehicle standards.
• Complete MOTs, subject to holding an active MOT licence.
• Ensure all work adheres to health and safety procedures and quality standards.
• Accurately report vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance to management.

• Competitive salary between £17-20 per hour, depending on experience


• 37-hour work week: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday, 8:00am-1:00pm Friday

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

• Conduct fault diagnosis on a variety of vehicles using diagnostic equipment


• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs to vehicle standards


• Complete MOTs, subject to holding an active MOT licence


• Ensure all work adheres to health and safety procedures and quality standards


• Accurately report vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance to the management team


• Maintain a tidy and organised workshop environment, complying with health and safety regulations


• Assist fellow team members in achieving workshop targets and customer satisfaction as a Vehicle Technician

Requirements:
