Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting Locum Consultant in Adult Psychiatry with UK-wide opportunities. The role covers inpatient and crisis teams with flexible short- and long-term shifts. GMC registration, DBS check and CCT in General Adult Psychiatry are required.

Locations across the UK are available, including Nuneaton, with ASAP start and a mix of inpatient and community coverage. Join a supportive agency providing onboarding, registration help, and 24/7 support.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree with full GMC registration.
• Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility).
• Current DBS/PVG check or willingness to obtain one as part of registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatry care on Stanley ward and CRHTT for Older Adults.
• Split workload with 8 inpatient sessions and 2 CRHTT sessions per week.
• Cover across UK locum assignments as needed for sustained service delivery.

Contract Type: Locum (short-term and long-term assignments available)

Start Date: ASAP

AC Status Essential. It will be split post to cover inpatients at Stanley ward and Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team ( CRHTT) for Older Adults. The post holder will also provide cover to inpatients at Stanley ward , a 12 bedded ward for female patients above the age of 65 years. The consultant will provide 8 sessions to inpatients work and 2 sessions for CRHTT.

What We're Looking For

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility)
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• Experience in adult mental health settings
• UK Right to Work
• A flexible, collaborative, and patient-focused approach
• CCT in General Adult Psychiatry
