Medacs Healthcare is recruiting locum Consultant Psychiatrists in Adult Mental Health for NHS Lanarkshire, with both short-term and long-term assignments available. The role offers comprehensive support and flexible placements across the UK, including Scotland.

The locum roles require MBBS or equivalent, GMC registration, DBS/PVG checks, and current experience in adult psychiatry. We provide dedicated consultants and tailored match to your availability and preferences.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility).
• A current DBS/PVG check or willingness to undergo one as part of registration.
• Experience in adult mental health settings.
• UK Right to Work.
• A flexible, collaborative, and patient-focused approach.
• CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it).

Responsibilities

• Conducting psychiatric assessments and reviews.
• Leading treatment planning and clinical decision-making.
• Supporting junior medical staff and MDTs.
• Liaising with community services and external partners.

About the Role

As a locum Consultant Psychiatrist, you'll work within multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality psychiatric care to adults with complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:

• Conducting psychiatric assessments and reviews
• Leading treatment planning and clinical decision-making
• Supporting junior medical staff and MDTs
• Liaising with community services and external partners

What We're Looking For

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility)
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• Experience in adult mental health settings
• UK Right to Work
• A flexible, collaborative, and patient-focused approach
• CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it)
