Medacs Healthcare is recruiting for locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Mental Health across the UK, with flexible short-term or longer assignments.

You'll work in multidisciplinary teams, conduct assessments, and lead treatment planning for adults with complex needs. We offer NHS-aligned opportunities, supportive onboarding, and dedicated consultant support to help you choose the right match.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility).
• A current DBS check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process.
• Experience in adult mental health settings.
• UK Right to Work.
• A flexible, collaborative, and patient-focused approach.

Inpatient General Adult Consultant required for Worden Ward in Chorley Hospital. Ward in male inpatient, covering 15 beds.

Role includes cover of 136 suite, cross cover of two other wards for annual leave.

Ideally accredited trainer on the GMC register. Specialist Registration and AC approval is required.

About the Role

As a locum Consultant Psychiatrist, you'll work within multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality psychiatric care to adults with complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:

What We're Looking For

Essential

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility)
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• Experience in adult mental health settings
• UK Right to Work
• A flexible, collaborative, and patient-focused approach

Desirable

• CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it)
